Curb stones
Curb stones, also spelled kerb stones, are precast concrete edging units that mark and hold the edge of roads, footpaths, parking areas and landscaped beds. They keep paving or asphalt from spreading, guide water along the edge and give a clean, straight line.
Where curb stones are used
- Roads and streets in housing schemes
- Footpaths and pavements
- Car parks and factory yards
- Gardens, planters and landscape borders
Benefits
- Holds the edge of paving, asphalt or soil in place
- Crisp, even edge line from precast units
- Helps direct surface water along the road edge
- Works with pavers and tuff tiles as a matched edge
How to choose
- Straight runs and curves need different units. Tell us the radius if the edge is curved.
- Use a dropped or ramped profile where vehicles cross the edge.
- Measure the run in metres and add a small allowance for cuts.
- Ask about delivery for long runs, since units are heavy.

Questions about curb stones
What is the difference between a curb stone and a kerb stone?
They are the same thing. Curb is the American spelling and kerb is the British one. Both are common in Pakistan.
How many curb stones do I need?
Divide the length of the edge by the length of one stone, then add a small allowance for cuts and breakage. Send us the length and the stone size you want and we will confirm the count.
